Macquarie Research Management System

Macquarie Research Management System

Purpose of the Pure Research Management System

Why do we need to use the Pure Research Management System?

  • To record, track and manage your research proposal and the department and faculty approvals
  • To collect relevant investigator and/or institutional certifications when required by funding bodies
  • To enable the Research Office and Office of Financial Services to create your project account(s) once the grant or contract is funded
  • To collect essential information for internal and external/government reporting purposes
  • To provide you with transparency in the review and approval process during the submission of your application

Create and Submit a Grant Application as a Researcher

As a researcher, from Monday 25 September 2017, you are now required to lodge your applications for internal and external funding schemes via the Pure RMS, for all research grants apart from partner funded research which will move to this new system at a date to be advised.

As part of this system implementation, the existing Research Master APLI/cover sheet research project form has been retired for research grants (partner-funded research in the interim will continue to use the APLI system), and the data and approvals for new funding applications will now be collected through the Pure RMS

  1. Go to the Pure RMS portal and log in with your OneID and password
  2. Click Add new to create a new application
  3. Fill out the details
  4. Save the changes
  5. Upload a copy of your application as an attachment within the system
  6. Send for internal approval

A Quick Reference Guide is available and explains how to create and submit a grant application as a Researcher within Pure Research Management System (Pure RMS).
