Terrestrial Biodiversity and Freshwater Impacts and Adaptation
Professor Lesley Hughes
Dr Linda Beaumont
The Terrestrial Biodiversity and Freshwater Impacts and Adaptation Research Theme will focus on bringing different biological perspectives (genetics, population biology, functional ecology, palaeoecology) to bear on understanding the potential consequences of climate change for biodiversity. This is a contentious area as there are currently conflicting perspectives from different angles which would have significantly different implications for an effective conservation policy under a changing climate.
