CCA-Secure Proxy Re-Encryption

A proxy re-encryption scheme is a variant of public key encryption which allows to convert ciphertexts encrypted under one party's public key into ciphertexts under a different party's key. Re-encryption schemes are commonly used in Digital Rights Management (DRM) schemes. In this work we study security of re-encryption schemes against chosen ciphertext attacks (CCA). We come up with a natural security definition and present an efficient construction of CCA-secure proxy re-encryption scheme. As well, we present a general method for constructing CCA-secure re-encryption schemes and establishing their security.
