The Master of Research (MRes) is the normal pathway into a doctorate at Macquarie and consists of a two-year programme of study. The first year consists of coursework, and the second year is primarily thesis based. Students with an existing honours degree or coursework Masters can be given up to 32 credit points (one year) of advanced standing.
