The Centre for Environmental Law provides a platform for research into the dynamic areas of environmental law.  Our centre is committed to excellence in research and builds upon the strengths and expertise of its academic staff in a variety of areas.  We are committed to fostering dynamic relationships with industry, government, NGOs and other Universities.  We have built strong collaborative links with overseas research institutes.

Our unique combination of local government issues as well as a focus on broad international policy encourages engagement with the community by connecting staff and student research and participation to community development on local, regional and global scales.  The centre provides a central platform for dialogue and collaboration between all stakeholders.
