Macquarie-Ryde Futures Project - Social Inclusion and Building Resilience
The project will investigate the ways in which local government initiatives engage with the challenges of building community resilience, arresting social vulnerability and facilitating the development of inclusive communities to support people affected by disabilities, prejudice or other factors. The research will inform key stakeholders in local government, community and the university. Applicants should be qualified in an appropriate social science discipline with a strong record in community-based research.

This scholarship/s is/are available to eligible candidates to undertake:
- Direct entry into a 3 year PhD program.
The value and tenure of the scholarship/s is/are:
- The MQRES full-time stipend rate is $26,288 per annum (in 2016 tax exempt, for up to 3 years (indexed annually)
- For international candidates, the scholarship includes Macquarie University tuition fees for up to three years/four
Applicants will need to Apply for a research degree and scholarship at Macquarie University and arrange for two academic referee reports to be submitted to the Higher Degree Research Office.

To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants are expected to have a record of excellent academic performance and preferably, additional relevant research experience and/or peer-reviewed research activity, awards and/or prizes in line with the University’s scholarship rating guidelines.
