The Writing Centre has a variety of resources available to support our postgraduate students, including customised development opportunities for English language proficiency, academic literacy and professional communication embedded in postgraduate curriculum and unit teaching.

The Numeracy Centre is open throughout session to assist students with numeracy. Have a look at their web page for further information, book sessions and find resources.

Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences

FMHHS run week-long 'Conference Weeks' in the Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Physiotherapy courses for commencing students. The program across the week focuses on such things as cohort community building; wayfinding for University and faculty support and information services.

These sessions are held on campus and start the week prior to commencement of your course, (dependent on course intake listed on your letter of offer).

More information will be provided when you accept your offer into these programs.

Access to collection

In addition to access to collection and unit readings via Leganto, postgraduate students can:

  • have longer loan periods (up to 4 renewals)
  • request interlibrary loans for items not held within MQ collection
  • recommend Library collection book purchases
  • request conversion of print unit/course readings and other learning and teaching materials into screenreader-friendly versions (for those students registered with Wellbeing for conversion services)
  • access Distance Education Services located outside of the greater Sydney metropolitan area and lower Central Coast region
