• Macquarie University Special Education Centre (MUSEC) is a research-based special school for children with disability.
• Mia Mia Child and Family Study Centre provides unique opportunities for learning, research, participation and observation by students and academic staff of Macquarie University and other tertiary institutions.

Research highlights

Transforming education across contexts – Macquarie’s research on teaching and assessing, digital education, early childhood, and gender and sexualities have been transformational.

This has impacted learning and teaching worldwide and locally, significantly impacting policy and professional practices.

The translation of Macquarie’s research into laws, policies, the classroom and early childhood centres has resulted in significant gains for a variety of community groups, educators and learners.

We actively partner with a range of government and non-government entities, including AITSL, ACECQA, UNESCO and individual organisations such as KU Children’s Services. We work with education, community and early childhood organisations.

We are always working to ensure our high impact in a variety of education fields is sustained.
