2007 Student Contributions , Domestic Tuition Fees and Unit Census Dates
At Macquarie University, a local student can be studying either as a ‘Commonwealth supported student’ or a ‘tuition fee-paying student’.
Commonwealth supported places are available for all undergraduate courses of study and some designated postgraduate course of study. Commonwealth supported students pay a student contribution for their units of study.
Commonwealth supported students commencing a course in 2007 will pay the maximum student contribution amount as published by the Australian Government.
For students re-enrolling in a course in 2007, the 2007 student contribution will be an increase of 1.99% over and above the 2006 student contribution. This amount represents the Higher Education Indexation Factor as approved by the Australian Government, which is set at 1.99% for 2007.
In 2007 students enrolled in the Advanced Science units MATH233, MATH334, BIOL111, BIOL112, BIOL225, BIOL226, BIOL365, BIOL366, CBMS112, CBMS113, and CBMS388 will pay $0 student contribution in these units.
In 2007 students completing their Honours year in Science and Technology (see Undergraduate 2007 Student Contribution Bands below for details) will only have to pay the Band 1 amount for their student contribution for these units.
