Freedom of Information (FOI)

The Freedom of Information Act gives individuals:

a right to obtain access to documents held in the records of the University,

a right
to request amendments of personal information held by the University if it is found to be incorrect and

a right
to appeal (Internal Review, Ombudsman, ADT Appeal)against a decision not to grant access to documents or to amend personal records.
Internal Review   If you are unhappy with a decision made by the Univeristy on your FOI request, or if no decision has been made, you are entitled to ask for an internal review. read more
Ombudsman   If you already sought an internal review and are unhappy with the result, the NSW Ombudsman may act on your behalf. read more
ADT Appeal   If you wish to pursue the matter further, you are entitled to take your appeal to the Administrative Decisions Tribunal (ADT). read more
