Faculty Standards and Quality Committee

Terms of Reference
The Faculty Standards and Quality Committee is responsible for reviewing submissions relating to coursework units and programs for quality and conformance with standards before final submission to the Academic Program Committee. The Committee will
- Ensure that all coursework programs offered within the Faculty comply with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
- Identify policy issues that require review and refer to the appropriate Committee for action.
- Advise the Academic Program Committee on issues which may arise in relation to the development and implementation of new and revised degrees.
- Provide reports on coursework program reviews to the Academic Program Committee.
- Provide annual reports to the Academic Program Committee on its work.
Membership
Term of office: 2 years
Term of office - student members: 1 year
Chair: to be elected from the members of the Committee
- A minimum of two members of the academic staff from within the Faculty. (If there is no fully representative Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee, one academic staff member from each constituent department should be appointed.)
- Two members of the professional staff from within the Faculty (one responsible for Undergraduate Programs and one responsible for Postgraduate Coursework Programs)
- A representative from the University Library
- A representative from the Learning and Teaching Centre
- One undergraduate student
- One postgraduate coursework student
