Case for the Retention and Renewal of a Unit of Study (Discipline Supplement)
One report should be lodged per Discipline or Department for all units taught. Please list all of the units covered in this case (previous unit codes and titles and proposed unit codes and titles). Then in no more than 4 pages, outline how:
- How the Discipline or Department will monitor activities in the units against the University's goals and priorities for learning and teaching, as articulated in:
- the University's Learning and Teaching Plan
- Macquarie@50 (PDF)
- The Technology in Learning and Teaching (TILT) Plan and
- Internationalisation at Macquarie Strategy
- Review and rationalize units of study on a regular basis;
- Ensure compliance with the University's Assessment Policy and Unit Outline Policy
You should also provide certification that there are sufficient financial resources available to the Department to ensure continuation of each of the units for at least five years.
