Purpose To outline the minimum level of experience, skills and knowledge expected for promotion to Level E.

Schedule

Meet the requirements of Level D, plus:

TEACHING
  • Demonstrated leadership in teaching policy and practice.
  • Demonstrated leadership in the scholarship of teaching.  
RESEARCH
  • Evidence of innovative and distinguished contributions to the field of research, which is demonstrated by sustained and distinguished performance.
  • A demonstrated ability to attract external research grants at a substantial level, including funding for major projects and/or research centres.
  • Evidence of recognition as a leading authority in their discipline at an international level.
  • A demonstrated ability to attract and successfully supervise a significant number of postgraduate research students to completion; and mentoring of junior staff as supervisors.  
  • A demonstrated ability to lead research teams or collaborations.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
  • Evidence of leadership and excellence in a field of research, teaching and or policy development within the University and within the community, professional, commercial or industrial sectors.
  • Proactive involvement in initiatives to promote the sustainability and growth of the University.
  • Evidence of a leadership role in University operations and the wider community.
