Welcome to Macquarie University Swim School!
Here at Macquarie University Swim School we cater for all ages and abilities from six months and up. Classes are held on a weekly, year round basis (not on school terms) to allow for continuous progression, which also allows you to join at any time!
Our program is based on many years of swimming and teaching experience. Our lessons are technique based, and we aim to consistently provide a high quality and caring learning experience for all of our swimmers. We teach using lesson plans to help develop and progress all individuals and believe all children should learn to swim without the assistance of floatation devices.
All lessons are offered in either our heated indoor 25m pool or heated outdoor 50m pool.
Assessments are free! To book please call (02) 9850 9408.

Keep Our Pools Clean
To ensure the best possible swimming experience, we would like to emphasise important guidelines to keep our pools clean and hygienic at all times:
- All non-toilet trained children are required to wear appropriate snug fitting aqua nappies. Please note that normal nappies will not adequately prevent leakage and contamination of the pools. Aqua nappies can be purchased from the Macquarie University Sport & Aquatic Centre front desk or from your local supermarket.
- Older children should be encouraged to use the bathrooms immediately prior to their swimming lessons. Bathrooms (including family change rooms) are located on Level Two.
- Children with stomach or gastrointestinal illnesses (within the past seven days) should not attend the pool. A credit for missed lessons will be provided.
Accidental contamination of the water may result in immediate closure of the pool and an inconvenience to other patrons.
Yours assistance and understanding on this subject is greatly appreciated.
