The media relations team at Macquarie University assists journalists seeking to interview the University’s many academic experts or looking for news and information about the University, its research and other activities.
Requests outside of business hours or those seeking official University comment including interviews with the Vice-Chancellor or other members of executive, should be directed to the Media Manager, as should requests to film or record on campus for television news (filming or photography requests for other commercial purposes, such as feature films, dramas or advertisements should be directed to the Office of Facilities Management via this request form).
The media relations team also provides professional advice, planning and training to University staff seeking to interact with the media – particularly those wishing to disseminate the findings of their research – and supports these efforts through the writing and distribution of press releases, and media monitoring.
Media relations staff are part of the Marketing Unit, and are located on Level 2, Becton Dickinson Building, 4 Research Park Drive, Macquarie University, North Ryde.
