Sacha Molitorisz gets top prize in Arts 3MT competition

Five PhD candidates participated in this year's Faculty of Arts 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) heat which was held on Thursday, 13 August 2015 at the Campus Hub (C10A).

Competitors had just three minutes to effectively explain their research in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience. The results are as follows:

Winner: Sacha Molitorisz (Department of Philosophy)


Topic: Morality bytes: threats to privacy and truth, agency and autonomy in a new media world.

Runner up: Uchechukwu Ngwaba (Law School)


Topic: The "right to health" as the basis for transforming the health care system of Nigeria.

People's Choice Award: Sunita Chaudhary (Department of Geography and Planning)


Topic: Valuing ecosystem services and reconciling with sustainable development.

The competition will be followed by the Learning and Teaching Week poster session and after-party lunch in the MQ Theatre foyer.
