At the beginning of each year MUPRA hosts the Supervisor of the Year
Award, to recognize the massive effort put in by so many academics and
to encourage great supervisory practices. Put your Supervisor in the
running for the Supervisor of the Year along with Macquarie
University*s finest, and put yourself in the running for a $50 gift
voucher. All MQ Postgraduate research students are eligible to nominate
their own supervisor after they have completed twelve months of study at

The winner of the Award in 2006
Dr. Marie Herberstein from Environmental & Life Sciences
She was select as the final winner of 2006 MUPRA Supervisor of the Year Award for her effort that 'she moves beyond avilability and relationship towards an active engagement with each student's academic and intellectual career' commented by our Judge,
A/prof. Anna Reid.
The Award was presented at High Degree Research Unit Central Commencement Program held on 23th February 2007.
