POL266 - Introduction to Middle East Politics
The primary objective of this course is to introduce students to the domestic politics of the Middle East, and to the intellectual and ideological currents that shape those politics.POL321 - International Relations in the Middle East
This unit will introduce students to the international politics of the Middle East, which includes patterns of interaction between the region and the world. Topics to be covered include the Arab-Israeli conflict; conflicts and the interventions in the Persian Gulf; inter-Arab politics; and economic dependence and development.-
POL369 - Europe and Islam
From the perspective of Europe, Islam has always been seen as the other. This unit examines the complex interactions of Europe and Islam from the time of the Middle Ages to the present.
Postgraduate Studies
Opportunities exist for postgraduate studies in Middle East Politics (and related disciplines) at several levels:
