Saturday 4th. June 1814 !
This being the anniversary of our beloved King's Birth, the Day was kept as a Holiday throughout the Territory, and celebrated with the usual Compliments and Demonstrations of Joy. — I entertained 84 Officers Civil & Military, & other Gentlemen of the Colony at Dinr. at Government House on this occasion in honor of the Day. — Mrs. Macquarie also entertained the principal Ladies at Sydney, in the Evening at Govt. House, with Tea & Coffee, Cards & Music. —

The Ship Frederick of Calcutta Commanded by Capt. Duncan, and of which Mr. O'Connor is the Supercargo, arrived this day in the Harbour from India, but last from the Derwent. — By this opportunity I have received a Grey Arab Horse (which I have named Abdulla) sent me by my friends Messrs. Forbes & Co. of Bombay, aged 7 years and 14 Hands 2 Inches high, and Cost 700 Rupees at Bombay. He was first sent on to Batavia where he remained some time, and from thence was brought on by the Frederick; being altogether above 7 months on board Ship. — He is at length however safely landed here, but very low in flesh. —

Tuesday 21. June 1814.
Mrs. M. and myself, accompanied by Col: & Mrs. Molle, and Major Antill, paid a visit this morning to Parramatta to Breakfast, Starting from Sydney at ½ past 8 in the morning, and returning to thither at 4. P.M.

We went and came back in Col: Molle's Landau, with our own four Horses and drove by our own Coach man.

Mrs. M. has not been at Parramatta since the month of July 1813 !!!

Tuesday 28 June 1814 !!!
I went this morning, accompanied by Col: & Mrs. Molle, on a visit to the Town of Liverpool. — We Breakfasted wt. Mr. & Mrs. Moore at "Moore-Bank" and returned Home to Dinner – being only 2 Hours from Liverpool to Sydney. We travelled in Col: Molle's Landau with my own Horses, drove by Joseph. Mrs. Macquarie was too much indisposed to accompany us on this Visit.

Dr. Wentworth having kindly given us a Present of two large Norfolk-Pine Trees from his Farm at Home-Bush, 12 miles distant from Sydney, they were brought down this afternoon from thence in Carts to the Govt. Domain, and on same day the largest of the two was planted in the lower Park, and on the day following the smallest was planted at the intended Grand Entrance into the new Govt. Garden in "Farm Cove" !
