The Colonial Brig Lady Nelson wt. Detachmt. of the 102d. Regt. arrived from Norfolk Island in 7 days. —

The Ship Indispensible Whaler arrived on the Same from Norfolk Island.

Fridy. 20th. Apl. —
The Cyclops arrived this day from the River Derwent, and brought me Dispatches from Lieut. Lord R. Marines Comg. that Settlement announcing the Death of Lieut. Govr. Collins who died suddenly & unexpectedly on the 24th. of March! —

Fridy. 27th. Apl. —
Commodore Bligh & Family & Suite , embarked this day between 11 & 12 O'Clock under the proper honors & salute of 19 Guns. — He was met at Govt. House by all the Offrs. of Govt., and was accompanied to his Boat by myself & Mrs. M. and the other Gentlemen present. —

Saty. 28th. Apl. —
The Brig Perseverance Capt. Hasselberg [sic] arrived from New Zealand this Evening and brings a confirmation of the loss of the Ship Boyd, and massacre of her Crew by the Natives under the Chief Tippahee at Wangarora. —
