Chinese Students’ Transition into University - Liyun Huang

Liyun Huang, a visiting scholar from China, talks about issues and challenges Chinese international students may face when they make their transition into university life in Australian universities.

The talk starts with a comparison of eastern and western culture, followed by what a university student may expect in a Chinese university. Challenges that Chinese international students may encounter and causes of them are then analysed. The talk ends with some tips to shed light on the engagement issues of Chinese students in Australian universities.
