Written by Agnes Bosanquet on April 2nd, 2009

Project EnRoLE is building an Australian community of university clusters, state networks and international partnerships around online role play in university education.

Find out more at the Masked Ball:

When: Friday, April 24th, 3.30 - 5:30pm
Where: Tyree Room, Scientia Building, UNSW
RSVP: enrole.australia@gmail.com by April 15th

This will showcase numerous online role plays and unmask the academics who designed them from a range of discipline areas such as: Engineering, International Relations, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, Environment, Health, Law, Language, Economics, History, Politics, Education, and Geography.

Check out the role play repository, which includes:

  • Idontgoto Uni Role Play - learners adopt various staff, student and community roles within an Australian university and explore a controversial issue in assessment that has become a public embarrassment to the university.
  • Plagiarism e-Sim - a short, simply constructed online role play, which can be used to explore the value of online role play as a learning and teaching activity, design features, and multiple perspectives towards plagiarism issues in a modern University context with a diverse student population.
  • Conference Lunch Role Play - learners adopt various staff and student roles within an Australian university conference lunch setting and explore an issue in assessment.
