Modern History offers diverse programs of study with particular strengths in Australian and European History, World and Global History, Cultural, Media and Gender History.
Modern History, Politics and International Relations is a research-focused department with a reputation for teaching excellence. We host a CORE in Cultural, Social and Political Change, the Australian History Teaching Museum, the Centre for Cultural History, the Centre for Media History and the Centre for Middle East and North Africa Studies.
