Relevant Experience: Andrew has undertaken extensive studies in the field of Thomistic Theology and Philosophy for more than a decade. He has also been working as a qualified school teacher within a number of Sydney Catholic high schools. He has also undertaken the teaching of Theology and Philosophy at a number of places within the Sydney Metropolitan area.

"There are a number of things I wish to introduce into the Catholic life of the University. Some of which include daily Mass as well as a deepening of the personal spiritual life for both staff and students of the University. Daily Mass being an excellent ingredient for the intensification of the Catholic spiritual life. Along with the spiritual life of staff and students I would like to implement the availability for all to come to a greater understanding of the teachings of the Catholic Church through the offering of classes and forums to facilitate such a need.

Further to this, is the dynamic of introducing students to a greater appreciation and hunger for their faith by providing an opportunity for them to undertake some missionary activity along the lines of participating in the Sydney Archdiocese’ catechetical programs. That students could take the opportunity to spread the faith through the catechetical ministry would be not only advantageous to the students themselves but also to the school students to whom they minister and also to the wider community as a whole.

I look forward to a year that will be fruitful and advantageous to the entire university community.

In this year of the Eucharist the Catholic Chaplaincy would like to take this opportunity to devote this year’s work to the protection of the Maternal Heart of Mary and the Eucharistic Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
