Young Achievement Australia offers you the opportunity of developing marketable skills through their Business Skills program. Whether you join an existing organisation, work on a project or contracting basis or set up your own business you will need to know how business works.

YAA is a national, non profit organisation which facilitates business programs between industry and young Australians.

Skills and talents from Arts, Agriculture and Forestry, Economics and Commerce, Education, Engineering, Law and Science are all relevant to this program.

Where?

On campus or at the premises of the sponsor organisation. Selection criteria is based on a desire and willingness to be involved.

Why?

Throughout the program you will explore the many options confronting commercial operations. You will further develop your skills such as strategic planning and decision making, negotiating, risk taking, being creative and innovative, communication and developing teamwork, as you establish your own entrepreneurial company that produces, markets and sells real products and services.

Students also have the opportunity to participate and network during special events: a YAA Expo, and a Management Skills Seminar or Workshop. The program completes on October 31 each year and culminates with Regional, State and National awards events and celebrations.

The program can be a great way to showcase your talents to prospective employers, and helps you make sound career and employment choices.
