The Office of Institutional Advancement's mission is to engage our alumni and friends, our business and industry partners, and our local, national and international communities in building a strong future for Macquarie.

We facilitate relationship building and undertake fundraising appeals and campaigns across the campus to create significant new revenue streams to support Macquarie University. Funds raised are used for new facilities, research and teaching, professorial chairs, merit scholarships and prizes, and financial aid for students through equity scholarships and grants.

The University established the Macquarie University Foundation to lead and support these efforts. Mr Maurice Newman AC, Chairman of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation has taken on the role of Honorary Chair.

We also encourage you to stay connected with Macquarie through our many community engagement activities. Come and see an exhibition at the Art Gallery or our other museums and collections, visit our Sport and Aquatic Centre, attend alumni or community events, or simply stay in touch with your valuable and constructive suggestions and feedback.
