Help us understand how bilingual children develop language processing and learning skills 急需9-11岁双语惯用右手的小孩帮忙做语言实验
Be part of science! Have your brain recorded using electroencephalography (EEG) to help us investigate how children learn and process language.
Mandarin native speakers with at least 1 year of exposure to English; Right-handed; 9-11 years of age.
We are using electroencephalography (EEG) to investigate how children acquiring English as a second language process speech input. Children who take part will have an electrode cap mounted on their heads to record brain activity as they listen to sentences. The electrode cap will be connected to a recording computer that automatically collects the electrical activity that is coming out of the scalp, called ERPs. This procedure is safe and non-invasive.
Testing sessions will take 2.5 hours at Macquarie University.
Participants will receive $50 in Coles/Myer vouchers and reimbursement of travel costs.
