Department of Anthropology
Graduate Diploma
The Graduate Diploma of Arts (Anthropology major) is offered for those who already have an undergraduate degree, but who are interested in an intensive course composed entirely of anthropology units. This course is also intended for those who are wishing to enrol in the Master of Applied Anthropology (MAA), but who do not have sufficient undergraduate anthropology units to qualify them for admission into the program.
Entry is available to students with a Bachelor's Degree from a recognised tertiary institution.
The Diploma is undertaken over one year full-time, or two years' part-time study, during which students must successfully complete a minimum of 24 credit points in anthropology. The required units include ANTH 150, ANTH324, 9 credit point from 200-level ANTH units and 9 credit points from 300-level ANTH units.
