This event centres on career opportunities in Funds and Wealth Management. A panel of speakers with successful careers in the industry will share their experiences, answer questions and provide tips on how you can achieve success. We’ll serve a light lunch following the talk.

Panel:

Nicolette Rubinszstein, Director & Author

Nicolette is a director, author and a senior executive in wealth management. She is a non-executive director of UniSuper, SuperEd and the Actuaries Institute. She has won excellency awards for her work in superannuation policy. Her book ‘Not Gulity’ covers seven strategies for a career mum to be successful. She was named ‘most powerful part timers’ in 2014. Her past roles include General Manager at CBA/Colonial First State, senior positions at BT Funds Management and Towers Perrin.

Al Clark, Senior Lecturer, Macquarie Applied Finance Centre and Master of Applied Finance alumnus

With over 20 years’ experience in the funds management industry, Al has been running and managing asset allocation solutions on behalf of clients for the better part of two decades. Al is an MAFC Master of Applied Finance alumnus and has previously worked for Macquarie Bank, BT and Schroders. In his current role as Global Head of Multi-Asset for Nikko AM, Al is responsible for the research and portfolio construction of all asset allocation solutions across the Nikko business.

Liam Robinson, Co-founder at Clean Energy Technology Holdings, Business Development Manager at Wholesale Investor, Master of Applied Finance Centre alumnus

Co-founder and Director at Clean Energy Technology Liam has had extensive experience across financial markets, corporate advisory and business development. Having worked for Westpac Institutional Bank and Goldman Sachs he has had exposure to numerous markets and deals. Liam also works in the venture capital space, helping innovative and scalable start-ups access much needed growth capital with any successful deals executed to date.

Host: Senior Lecturer Finance Dan Daugaard, is the Program Director, Funds and Wealth Management

Dan’s current focus is writing and teaching work-relevant finance curriculum and trialling innovative technologies in attempts to produce a more engaged and relevant learning experience. Dan is also a Director of CFA Institute Partnership Program and has previously worked as an Associate Director at Westpac and a Consultant at Financial Training and Analysis Services.
