Incubator 360: A business innovation challenge

14 September 2017 - 15 September 2017

GoGet and United Networks are setting you a challenge. Can you solve it?

As part of a team, you’ll utilise a range of skills over two days to solve a real-world business problem and pitch your solution to Keith Forbes, Head of Business Solutions, GoGet, Nicholas Ghattas, CEO, United Networks and Sherman Young, Pro Vice-Chancellor Learning and Teaching.

Take this unique opportunity to participate in a complete design life-cycle and gain skills crucial for any 21st Century workplace.

What are the possible issues?

The problem you’ll solve is based on three issues:

  • What can individual organisations do to stay relevant within an emerging business ecosystem?
  • Does disruption to business practice by presenting alternative models accelerate engagement across business networks?
  • What are the challenges to adopting new models amidst traditional business practices?

The problem will be revealed on the first day of the event. Richard Schutte, Director, Customer Led Innovation at NAB and John Shi-Nash, Director, Incubation and Entrepreneurship at Macquarie will join us to discuss why innovation is important in your approach.

How does it work?

  1. Register yourself and/or any team members online;
  2. You will receive access to background information a week prior to the event via a #slack channel invite. You will prepare questions that you would like to raise at the Q&A session to further define the issues/problem;
  3. You will be briefed by GoGet and United Networks on Day 1, including responses to your questions;
  4. At midday, you’ll break out with your teams to work independently, maintaining communication through a dedicated Incubator 360 #slack channel;
  5. You will present your pitch at 3pm of Day 2 and the winners will be chosen by the panel.

The Prizes

  • First place – $1,500
  • Second place – $1,000
  • Third place – $500

Ready? Unite your Network and GoGet ‘em!

Choose your teams, nominate your team leader to register, and get ready for a full-on experience at the Macquarie Incubator.

Team leaders will need to register members with their email addresses and MQ numbers, so make sure you have them all before you register. If you don’t have a team, you can register as an individual and you’ll be placed in a team on the day.

When: Thursday 14 – Friday 15 September 2017
Where: Macquarie University Incubator, 8 Hadenfeld Avenue
