Fees and Regulations

Information on ticket prices is available at Sydney Buses, or see other bus company links for bus fare information. If you travel by bus an Opal card is usually your best option. Opal cards and top ups are available on Campus at the MacShop.

Concession Fares:

Students can receive discounted fares on trains, buses and ferries. To be eligible, you must:

  • be an Australian citizen or hold a Permanent Resident visa
  • be a full-time student, enrolled in internal classes (not external mode)
  • not receive any remuneration (scholarships and allowances such as Austudy and the Youth Allowance are not counted as remuneration)

Unfortunately in NSW, the only international students permitted to receive student concession fares are those sponsored by the Australian Government or students involved in formal university exchange programs.
