Team captains and managers applications
Applications are now open for 2015 Macquarie University Team Captains and Sport Specific Team Managers for the Australian University Games!
Each team that is competing at the 2015 Australian University Games is required to have a Sport Specific Team Manager to assist in coordination and management of their direct team (eg. Men's Touch or Women's Basketball).
An overall Male and Female Team Captain is then appointed for the entire Macquarie University team to lead the team of students at the Australian University Games.

Team Captains - Male and Female Position
The Macquarie University Team Captain is a prestigious position that will enable successful applicants to be heavily involved in the delivery of University Games.
The main role of the University Team Captain is to provide peer guidance, support and leadership to the athletes of the University Games team. Through positive leadership it is envisaged that the Team Captains will assist Australian University Sport (AUS) and Macquarie University Sport to reduce incidents related to excessive alcohol consumption and to foster a positive, inclusive and success-driven culture amongst our team.
The Team Captains will be required to represent Macquarie University at official functions including the Games Opening Ceremony and VIP events.

Sport Specific Team Managers
Sport Specific Team Managers will be responsible for a single team at each University Games event and are appointed for each team that is selected.
Sport Specific Team Managers will assist Macquarie University staff and the Team Captains in ensuring that the team is well represented both on and off the field and the highest standards of sportsmanship and behaviour are upheld at all times.
Team Managers will be provided with a detailed task list outlining what is expected of them in the lead up to, during and post University Games. Team Managers will ultimately be responsible for ensuring that their team meets registration requirements and payment deadlines, communicating information amongst their team, ensuring team members perform at the best of their ability and a high standard of behaviour, conduct and sportsmanship is maintained at all times.
