Children's martial arts caters for children between the ages of 5 to 16 years old. Classes are held on a weekly, year round basis (not on school terms) to allow for continuous progression, which also allows you to join at any time!

This program builds confidence, discipline and focus in a fun and friendly environment. Classes are fun and safe, catering for all levels of ability.

The programs use a progressive belting model and are taught by instructors with over 30 years teaching experience. All lessons are offered on our martial arts mats at Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre.

Trial classes are free! To book, call (02) 9850 7636 or fill in the form below.

Karate and Taekwondo

Taekwondo and Karate are offered on different days of the week in our martial arts area. The programs are designed to promote physical fitness, self-defence and build character in young people, ultimately introducing students to a new way of life through skill development and progression.

Both the Karate and Taekwondo programs offer beginner and intermediate classes to children between the ages of 5 and 16 years. Classes offer a casual and fun atmosphere, yet will test one's physical, mental and emotional abilities.

As children build confidence and advance to new level belts, they develop respect both for the teacher and fellow students which transfers to other aspects of their life at school and within the community.

Family Karate Class

Our family class is designed to be fun with game-oriented exercises combined with formal martial arts training. It encourages parents, grandparents, friends or guardians over the age of 16 to enjoy the chance to work together with their children to develop transferable physical skills such as coordination, flexibility, strength and endurance. Spots are limited so please book in to avoid disappointment.

Classes are structured to develop skills incorporating games, drills and passive demonstrations. As children build confidence and advance to new level belts, they  will develop respect both for the teacher and fellow students by showing control, compassion and compliance. It's these attributes that can make martial arts students role models and leaders in other aspects of their lives including school and the community.
