Fitness starter pack
Getting motivated has never been easier. Health Club members can get a personalised training program written by one our friendly and qualified trainers.
Designed to get you fit faster. Your personal trainer will walk you through cardio, flexibility, abdominal, upper and lower body resistance workouts.
Small group training
Not enough time to workout? Hate training on your own? Looking to change up your normal training? Then our Express Workouts are perfect for you. They fit neatly into a study or lunch break as they are only 30 minutes.
We offer various training programs including weight loss training camps, City2Surf training sessions and much more.

Need advice and support?
We have trained fitness consultants who are there to help you every step of the way. We will get you started with an initial free consultation and design a personalised program especially for you. We continue to help you monitor your progress and develop your program so that you continue to challenge yourself.

As part of our recent upgrade we have added a 400sqm weights room with both new strength equipment and free weights.
Whether you are a first-timer or treadmill addict, our collection of more than 80 brand new, state of the art pieces of equipment will keep you inspired and motivated.

Stretch and flexibility area
To ensure our members are able to warm up prior and cool down after their workouts, we've developed a additional stretch and flexibility area with enough space for you to stretch and flex to your heart's content!
Female only training area
For women that prefer to train alongside other female health and fitness enthusiasts, our female only training area is equipped with its own private weight and machine area.
Group fitness classes
We offer over 100 classes per week to help you de-stress, reconnect with yourself and stay motivated. Classes take place in one of our four rooms: Group Fitness Studio, Courtyard Studio, Lifestyle Room, Cycle Studio. For details, visit our group fitness page.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to bring a towel?
Yes, towel usage is a condition of entry for the Health Club, Group Fitness Studio, Cycle Studio and Lifestyle Room. If you've forgotten your towel on any given day, there are limited towels for hire ($3 each) at the Customer Service Desk.
What is suitable attire whilst working out at the centre?
Casual comfortable workout wear is ideal, covered footwear and shirts are a must whether you are training indoors or outside. Denim shorts or jeans are not accepted in the Health Club. Please also consider others whilst you are training in the Centre and ensure you are aware of your own personal hygiene.
Is personal training included in my membership?
Personal training is an additional service to members at Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre. Click here for more information.
Do I need to book into a group fitness class?
Yes. If you plan to attend any of the group fitness classes available at Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre, you will need to obtain a ticket to gain entrance into your chosen class or classes when scanning your membership card upon entering the Centre. Tickets are available two hours prior to the commencement of a class. Bookings are only taken at the Customer Service Desk. Classes are closed five minutes after the start time of a class. What if I'm not fit enough for some of the programs on offer?
All of the programs on offer, including group fitness classes, personal training sessions and Boot Camp programs are suitable for all fitness types - beginners through to advanced fitness enthusiasts!
Our Fitness Australia qualified instructors are always on hand to assist, so feel free to ask any questions or discuss any concerns with them.
