Gymnastics December update
Kindergym Graduation Class
Gymnastics has recently launched the new ‘Kindergym Graduation Class’. Aimed at children who will attend school in 2016, not only does the class introduce more advanced gymnastics skills and techniques, but it also focuses on behaviour that will be needed at primary school. A highlight of the class will be the Kindergym Graduation Ceremony in late November where parents and friends are welcome to see their children graduate into the recreation program.
Beginner’s Guide to Adult Gymnastics
We run Adult Gymnastics Classes on Tuesday and Thursday nights and a range of abilities are all welcome including beginners of all ages through to ex-gymnasts. Gymnastics is a great fitness activity for adults, especially if you want to maintain your range of movement and flexibility whilst building strength. Many reasons hold us back from trying gymnastics as an adult, so here is a great article to help answer your questions about beginning as an adult from someone who went through the beginner journey themselves.
We offer Free Trial classes so there’s not time like the present to give adult gymnastics it a try!

Level 4 Squads State Club Championships:
Congratulations to our Level 4 Competitive squad who competed at the State Club Championships over the weekend at Sydney Gymnastics and Aquatic Centre. This is a team based event where the top three scorers from the team on each apparatus contribute to the total score. Macquarie University Gymnastics entered two teams into the event and did exceptionally well in a tough field of teams. More importantly than the overall results we had some huge personal bests from our gymnasts, with some girls improving significantly on their scores personal best scores to date.
The last competition for the year is the Level 3 State Championships in November – Good luck to all the girls competing!
