Macquarie University's new speech and hearing clinic offers modern facilities with the latest technology within the fields of hearing and speech pathology.

Our approach

The Clinic operates on a client-centered basis with a focus on collaborative goal-setting involving families and carers. Our treatments are directed towards improving the client's ability to participate in everyday home, school, work and social activities.

We are one of the leading experts in the industry offering research based best practice treatment options to cater for targeted needs.

Our warm and friendly staff personalise our service to cater to your individual needs.

Made to measure hearing aids are individually designed for you, and tailor made programs address speech pathology issues such as communication and swallowing difficulties.

Some of our services are provided by students in the Macquarie University Master of Speech and Language Pathology and Master of Clinical Audiology degrees. All of these services are supervised by our fully qualified speech pathology and audiology clinical educators.

Location and facilities

Located in the University's new state-of-the-art facility, the Australian Hearing Hub we are at the centre of innovation in hearing, language and communication research and development. Our brand new facilities are purpose built to provide the highest levels of comfort and professional care.

As a teaching facility for students, the clinic works with state-of-the-art assessment equipment, tools and research, not always available in other private or public clinics.

We have free parking available and are easily accessible by train and bus.

Our highly experienced speech pathologists and audiologists are proficient in a wide variety of fields of speech pathology and audiology including clinical education and research.

Our speech pathologists and audiologists have publications in internationally peer-reviewed journals and thus the service we provide is based on the best available evidence.

We have speech pathologists who specialise in the assessment and treatment of voice and stuttering as well as paediatric and adult speech language and swallowing disorders. Our audiologists specialise in auditory processing disorders, assessment and rehabilitation of tinnitus, vestibular and electrophysiological assessments, paediatric assessment and a full range of assessment and intervention options for adults with hearing loss.
