We are currently developing a series of professional workshops that will provide practical step-by-step guidance to clinicians, teachers, and volunteers on how to provide targeted research-based assessments and interventions for persons with reading and spelling difficulties that are easy to understand, and are delivered by experts in the field.

Dr Saskia Kohnen will present a one-day workshop on the evidence-based assessment and treatment of reading and spelling difficulties focussing on primary school aged children.

Basic skills in choosing interventions for children with reading difficulties Working memory and reading difficulties

In this one-hour seminar, Dr Banales will discuss the methods of intervention for children with dyslexia, including the role of verbal working memory training in treating reading difficulties. She will also discuss the implications of poor working memory in the classroom and how these difficulties may be supported.
