The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Executive of the University and has overall responsibility for academic, research, administrative, financial and development strategies. The Vice-Chancellor also promotes the interests and furthers the development of the University.

The Vice-Chancellor is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of the University
  • Representing the University externally
  • Building and maintaining internal cohesion within the University

The Vice-Chancellor is an ex officio member of the University Council and Academic Senate, and Chair of the University Executive.
