Undergraduate Degrees and Research Opportunities
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences has number of research opportunities available to undergraduate students who are interested in gaining experience working a research environment.
Bachelor of Clinical Science
The Bachelor of Clinical Science is a fast-track two-year bachelor degree for high-achieving students, designed to help them gain the professional skills needed for a future career in the medical, allied health or medical research professions.
This degree is a pathway to graduate-entry medical or other health profession programs such as Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Master of Research or other medical research programs. High achieving students will have the opportunity to enrol in research units that will provide valuable experience working in a laboratory or research environment.
Summer Vacation Scholarship Program
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences will be offering up to 12 Summer Vacation Scholarships ($1500 tax-free) to enthusiastic undergraduate students currently enrolled in their second or third year of studies in a related degree at an Australian University to undertake a six-week research project within the Department of Biomedical Sciences or Australian Institute of Health Innovation.
Scholarships will be awarded competitively on the basis of academic merit and the potential for this scholarship to advance the career and/or educational pursuits of the applicant.
Interested applicants should read carefully the terms and conditions of the scholarship and the available list of projects on offer.
Applicants must contact the Supervisor of their chosen project prior to completing the application form. Applications that are not endorsed by a Supervisor will not be accepted. Applications are due by 4pm Friday 4 November.
