Guy Morrow

Guy Morrow is a lecturer who brokers artistic creativity through research-led teaching, as well as via music, design and innovation consulting.

He founded a music business unit of study at Macquarie University and was also one of the two founding managers of ARIA number one band, Boy & Bear, and Pitchfork 'Best New Track' trio Movement.

With expertise in both organisational and visual design for the music industries, Guy currently manages and produces music videos with visual artist and director Jefferton James. In this capacity he has worked with Australian and international artists including Passenger, Josh Pyke, Stu Larsen, Missy Higgins, Dustin Tebbutt, Emma Louise, Sheppard, The Paper Kites and many others.

Guy is particularly passionate about creativity research: the psychology of creativity, group creativity and managing creativity. He co-designed a unit entitled Creative Entrepreneurship for the Master of Creative Media Degree that is linked to the Creative Ecologies Lab at Macquarie University and, with two colleagues, he currently has a PACE grant to research on-campus PACE related collaboration and student team-based media internships.

For his contributions to these fields, Guy has received a Vice Chancellor's Award from Macquarie University, five ARIA Awards, Gold and Platinum Awards from ARIA, and a CMC Australian Video of the Year Award.
